Green Key & CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
From the very beginning of Thermen Bussloo’s development, corporate social responsibility has been one of the most important priorities for the Dolman family business. Thermen Bussloo holds a Green Key Gold certificate. We are proud to share that this quality mark has once again been renewed for two years. On Thursday, February 9, Lotus van Eijden and Renée Kouwen of Thermen Bussloo received the Green Key certificate for both the Thermen and the Hotel Thermen Bussloo.

“With the Green Key certification, we demonstrate that we do everything possible to operate as environmentally conscious and sustainably as we can, without our guests having to compromise on comfort and quality. At Thermen Bussloo, we believe that doing business with a vision for people and the environment is not a choice, but a necessity. The renewal of our Green Key Gold certificate is the crowning achievement of all our employees who dedicate themselves every day to our wellness and our hotel, and we are deeply grateful for that!” says Fabian Dolman, Director of the family business Thermen Resorts.
For example, they pump their own spring water, use heat pumps, sustainable taps and LED lighting, and guests can enjoy organic dishes from the region. Thermen Bussloo also provides a pleasant and educational workplace for people distanced from the labor market and supports charitable causes. “Does that sound easier said than done? Not for us. Even though we set high sustainability standards for ourselves, both internally and externally, corporate social responsibility is truly part of our company culture. Everyone within the organization is aware of it and embraces it wholeheartedly,” says Fabian Dolman, Director of the family business Thermen Resorts.
What is Green Key?
Green Key is the international quality mark for sustainable businesses in the leisure, recreation, and corporate sectors. Companies with a Green Key certificate do everything they can to protect the environment, going beyond what is required by normal laws and regulations.
At Thermen Bussloo, for example, we have our own vegetable garden, our roof is covered with solar panels, we work with a bio-digester, and we continue to develop sustainable initiatives such as our own energy buffers and an underground thermal energy storage system. All of this is done with special attention, not only enhancing comfort for our guests but also improving the state of nature and the environment!
